Yesterday, I pulled out an airgun from my collection that I have not shot in years. My Umarex Steel Force.

After buying a bunch of other "full-auto" & assault style airguns like the Crosman DPMS, Sig Sauer MPX, Umarex MP40 & Umarex M1A1 Thompson, I never touched the Steel Force.

Well, I used it yesterday, and was glad I did! Yes it is a bit light in weight & a bit too much light plastic, but it is fun to shoot! The 6 shot blasts are almost the same as full auto & way better on the CO2 usage. One 12 gm. CO2 goes a long way (yes you can use only one CO2, so long as you put any empty one in the other slot). I got over 150 shots on one 12 gm CO2, shooting in both semi-auto & 6 shot bursts.

It is as accurate as any similar BB gun. And still has blowback, though may not be as heavy as some of the other ones mentioned above.

And the price is half of some and a third of others newer guns. If you look around you can pick one up for $140 (CDN) or less, shipping included.

Yes, you need to do the "shake shake" to reload, but it holds 300 BBs & the whole gun cost not much more than the new Crosman DPMS 300 BB magazine, that also needs you to do the "shake" to reload.

So, I would say it should still be an option when deciding which replica machine gun or assault style airgun to buy.
