There must be more to the story, but we are not invited, yet.
The same scenario could happen to anyone shooting an air rifle under similar circumstances.
Being under 500fps is not a protection.

Always be aware of your target and beyond.

I know when I was in the Canadian Forces. Everybody thinks just because a round hits the berm, it contains it. Well you notice that isn't the case when you use tracers. I've seen 5.56 come back 45degrees to the berm, I seen 762 go off in all different directions.

Guys at the Club, told me why the club house got holes in the siding, rounds ricocheting back, from people shooting at steel targets that was stationary.

But could happen with airguns. I've had ricochets outside, and I got nothing behind me.

I'm merely an Airgun plinker. I don't shoot 10m, FT or partake in Airgun competitions.

WTH, just around my area maybe less than 30mins driving.... What stupid man to shoot outside and making noise and caught attention from someone else....
