Stock 10 round mag works fine then bought butler creek steel lips 25 round stove pipe and jam hell ....Next read all reviews on this one HCSR 10-22 mag was supposed to be all the rage well its no better than the butler creek and of course now i can't find the stock mag .....

I only ever used stock 10rd mag, or the BC 25rd mags. I always had good luck with the BC 25's

i think its called a stove pipe apparently i can't use these mag cause they can fit a pistol and a pistol can't have more than 10 rounds so these are illegal or not i have not time for that crap so going to order a couple 10 rounds to be legal :roll:

For my part, most 10/22 stovepipe issues have solved by
- A good scrubbing of the chamber
- A better extractor/extractor spring
- Making sure the barrel is correctly lined-uo, as far as the extractor grove is concerned.

Are you using a aftermarket barrel?

Its a all stock take down 10 22 it work fine with stock clip but no so with the bigger clips

Well, something is slowing down the bolt and sucking energy. If the extractor is lined up OK, you might want to put some machinist blue on top of your magazines (stock and aftermarket), put them in and cycle the action. Then compare the drag marks (if any)

Judging by the top picture id say you need to take some polishing compound and smooth out the forward edge of that guide.

I always ran a VQ claw extractor in my 1022s.

Also what ammo did you use?
