I've been talking to FX about some improvements they could do, to make it easier to line up. I was telling them, that I was having issues with it registering and asking if it would be safe to mount on a frame of a 9mm?

Well they informed me that they are working on a firearm chrony.

So I could only assume it would be alum housing and able to do more than 1300 fps. I hope it Is fair priced.

Because Shooting Chrony busines is no more, they seemed to went out of business. Such a shame.

Tks for the update - didn't know shooting Chrony had closed it's doors.

According to people that been trying to contact them, their phone doesn't work, website is gone, And BBB says it is no longer in business.

I like the FX for the sake and ease of use. But I couldn't even get it to register with subsonic 22LR. I wish the FX just had 1 setting.

I'm guessing constantly monitoring/scanning for the full range of speed would either take too much CPU, or drain the batteries too fast.

Have no price indication yet, but i would think they will be set at the same price.

It probably end up being the cheapest firearm radar chronograph on the market.

I went to the indoor range and played with the settings. I was able to have 10 shots register with my 9mm loads.

4.5 grn W231, 124gn Campro fired from a 4.7" barrel. Avg 1070 FPS. With a SD of 20. Low 1044 Hi 1111

So, still the same FX Chrony but just changes made to the settings?

What that about?

I assume that it would be programed for higher velocities, a alum housing and the smoke wouldn't be effected.

Because I think that is why It's not really registering with my PB, as easy as my airguns.
