Oh you wouldn't have the hand strength to cut them with pilers. You would need to put it in a vise, and likely damage the pliers a bit. But watch out, a piece will go flying at Mach 5..Done this with smaller recoil springs on firearms. Never a break barrel main spring. I would use a dremel for that.

ya my hands are all cramped from trying players bolt cutters electric hand saw lol. just going to get a dremil

Yep~ dremil is a great tool set and luckily I got one set long time ago~ and more luckily, looks I don't have the need to cut a main spring so far~ [emoji38]

ya I put a phantom 1000 spring that was cut top fps I could get was 510 fps without reaching maximum coil bind. good enough for squirrels and chipmunks.
