Hey everyone,

I’ve been wanting to get me a .177 springer for pesting. Here are my requirements :

- Can be PAL rated or not
- Doesn’t need to be a million FPS, I’m looking for something that could take down nothing bigger than a squirrel.
- I would like to keep it under 300$
- Something very accurate up to 25 yards
- Backyard friendly is a huge plus
- Open sights is also a definite plus
- Wood body is a preference but not a requirement.

I want to go for a Springer because of the added challenge (I already own 3 PCPs)

What do you guys suggest ? What are you using that’s similar to what I’m looking for ?

Thanks a lot !

I want to say Slaiva 630.. But never having one, but I only heard good things. And alot of stories about their youths hunting squirrels with it.

Here’s what I would suggest. It’s a bit over budget but you won’t find a better deal on a great quality air gun. https://www.airgunforum.ca/store/produc ... cts_id=233

My go to for pesting is my bsa meteor, stock it shoots .177 meisterkugeln's 8.2gr 615Ft/sec.
I put a titan spring and made new spring guides for it,now it's around 700Ft/sec.
It's a very light and accurate rifle with open sights.
The only thing is I'm not sure where you can get one nowadays
