I found that amazon.ca have some cheap 12g CO2 cartridges, like those ones:
https://www.amazon.ca/MOSA-gram-threade ... 417&sr=8-6

So I wondering what's your guys opinion about them. Are all 12g cartridges are equal or there might be issues with too much pressure or some additives or moisture or something else. In other words is it better for airguns to stick with well known manufacturers, like Crossman, Daisy, Umarex etc or it doesn't really matter and cheap CO2 are safe for airguns and performs the same way as Crossman cartridges?

As was said, buy direct from ICO Trading. Buy 100 or more and get free shipping. These 12g bulbs work just as well as Crosman brand.

The ICO website shows these as being "up to 8 grams"
The one on Amazon and the ones I buy from Crosman / Umarex etc..are listed as 12 grams,

does this make a huge difference for air guns?

Thanks, very good find, probably that where I'm going to buy cartridges for now on. Do those CO2 have the same shot count as Crossman ones?

Maria should re-check her calculator, though, on the case price. Don't order by the case.

I've only had problems with CO2 cartridges once - on my 2x12g cartridge version Walther Lever Action I tore up the seals by using ones with the "pop-bottle cap" type seal years ago. In this rifle the seals are O-rings that the neck of the cartridge slides up through so the rough, protruding edge of the cap cuts into the seal. In most CO2 guns the end of the cartridge buts up against the seal so this would be a non-issue. Almost all the cartridges I see for sale nowadays have the smooth neck anyways.

nowhere, what brand of 12 gm. CO2 cartridges has the "pop bottle cap"?

The only brand I can remember having that feature, were Crosman CO2's from around 50 years ago.

Is that what you were describing?

I just got some Mosa CO2.

They work well so far. Especially using them in airguns that didn't work well with the Crosman cartridges that had slightly larger tips. Seem to be similar in shape of tip to Umarex CO2.

Since are "food grade" seem cleaner than Crosman.

If I remember correctly they were Crosman cartridges bought from Canadian Tire in the 2000's. They weren't the full-on "pop-bottle-cap" closure like the really old ones but the neck and end were significantly different - with a distinct ridge that tore the seals - from things like the Umarex cartridges which I started buying from online sources after the incident. I probably still have some empties around somewhere. I notice that it seems that even the generic cartridges and lesser known brand names all seem to have a nice smooth neck nowadays so this shouldn't be an issue anymore if you own a gun which seals like the old version of the Lever Action. I haven't had any problems with any of the various cartridges I've bought online, regardless of price or brand name. No dud cartridges either, which I did occasionally get from a box of Crosmans.
