For this reason, you are right. That bipod doesn't have a safety catch to prevent the legs to fold~

In my case, I sit on the chair and the gun with bipod standing straight up on the table, I only have touch of the shoulder and the trigger hand on the gun like the gentleman shooting the HW30 on below screen shot.

I don't think the bipod can bear the weight of the gun PLUS my body and won't lean onto it too... If shooting on the ground with prone pose, that's another case~ right? Image

Finally got a perfect Bi pod for my Diana 24C
And yes, you can move it around so that you can pump it even when the bi-pod is open or closed

I took it out today to test it. Perfect and cheap too. The legs can extend as well. Made of aluminum alloy and other metals. No plastic ( I did add some extra rubber buffer padding around the barrel clamp to add a little more protection than what was already in place)

$26 Bucks US ,link at the bottom is anyone is interested and frugal ?

How about accuracy being affected before and after? Or just the same?

I would like to know too. I can't see how that would make it shoot accurate. The paint roller works way better if it's sitting right in front of the trigger guard.

I am open to the result as I didn't try that by myself before and didn't read a real case besides me, so I really want to know how that performs... Maybe it's okay and acceptable on a weaker power Diana 24~ (read many cases, pretty sure not working on a higher or full power springer, right?)

Being an under 500 fps Diana24 C, I bought this for pinking, and pest control.
When I got the bipod yesterday , I only tested it while plinking cans in the yard at 8 yards to make sure it would clap on.

Now that you guys asked what the results are, I took it to 20 yards / 18 meters , with paper target

this was the results..

Six shots per target, 3/4" groupings and under was the average.

I also shot at a grid target, aiming for the box corners
I'm pleased

Looks good! Were the two on the corners fliers? Shooter error or related to the bipod?
Did you do a comparison use and not use the bipod (can use a roller support or some soft supports)?

TBH, 20yards 3/4 inch groups is not bad at all~ Good gun, good shooter and good setups ~

Tks Yep Yep
No not flyers...
did you mean on the 1st target photo? I thought a 3/4" group with 6 shot was good.

If you mean the last two photos, I WAS aiming for the grid pattern cross , so on photo #3 It was BANG on. That the best shot..I was so pleased with that one Right where I wanted it to go.
In the last photo #4 I was a little low.. by 3 or 4 mm.
I shot better with the bipod, ( I dont have a real roller so was using a rolled blanket )

I am new to this hobby, so I am loving this.
I never knew I could shoot until I was in the cadets back in 1980, they told me I had a knack and won a little medal, shooting 22 powder.
Then I joined the reserves when I hit 18 and wanted to go to sniper school... but I gave that up.

So this is my first time in 30 some odd years, shooting on targets.
