For all you outdoor pumpkin shooters out their, Real Canadian Superstore in Winnipeg is giving away the rest of it's pumpkins for free.

I have seen a number of videos where they make great outdoor shooting targets, esp. for full auto airguns.

I was just at the store at Kenaston & Grant, and they had a number of crates for them outside to give away.

Tried shooting the pumpkin before... However don't think it's a good target as I didn't see anything like explosion etc when shooting it...

it's like shooting the apples on the tree... Pellet just went through and left nothing reminded you you hit the target...

Because they lack energy and speed, and are such a small projectile. You need to shoot at small things like grapes, or smaller fruits, to get the results you were looking for. Because it is the shock wave of the pellet, or projectile that causes it to rip apart or explode..

I can explode pumpkins, or apples. But I don't use airguns..

Those are harder, so they shatter.

Might get in trouble if you shoot them on the club shooting range. Some of the older folks frown on it I guess because they can't lift them. At least my club frowned on it. But we still had fun. Not often you get a change to lay down behind a 50 cal. repeater old army gun that the shells run through on a belt. :D

I think the biggest concerns are. Shooting them on the ground could cause a richoette, and many people don't clean up their messes. We have a shovel for it, so scoop it out, and toss it in the woods.

But those older folks that frown on it, are just cranky old B tards.
