When I was topping it off today, the bolt cocked and started pumping, when finished, it seemed fine then released air from the pump, air was coming through the release valve on the pump, I know it's coming through barrel I could hear and feel. There must be something blocking the valve from closing?

Thanks

edit: Pumped it up twice, when released air it drained both times, filled it one more time and now no leak out barrel?

The valve is the only way to get air to the barrel. Give it a couple dry fires . It might seal up. If not , you’ll have to get the valve out for an inspection.

The third time it filled fine no leaks! I'm sure the first 2 times it was cocked or could be I'm must be getting old haha...did the same thing yesterday. I hope its just me not cocking it and not a tearing apart problem.

Something still isn't right. I only ever heard of cocking it to fill, is when you're filling it from completely empty.

Do you got a very heavy hammer spring in it? or very light valve spring?

Your dead right on both, heavier hammer spring and lighter valve spring..

Hammer is probably sitting on the valve stem, and because the light spring, it cannot stay closed.

So if it just started to become a problem, I suspect the valve spring is compressed a bit more than before. Either gotta replace it, or deal with cocking it before you fill.. To get the load off the valve stem.

I'm so stupid it's not coming out the barrel, it's the fill nipple it comes out, seems straight out, could be the fill valve is not closing..

Could I put a few drops of pelgun oil through the sintered screen into the nozzle?

Any ideas or suggestions would appreciated.

Thanks

It's usually the thread seal of the intake valve that is causing a leak. anyway, dunk the tip of that disco into a bucket of water and watch carefully where it is leaking, you should be able to see a slow leak, bubble will appear very slow and rises, that intake valve is easy to remove anyway and the nipple is a also easy to remove, just make sure you use a nice wrench, I usually use a box wrench for removing the nipple to avoid rounding off the edges.

You mean the little nozzle that sit's on the fill assembly, so just remove the nipple because? it's not leaking around the fill assembly itself.

How do you get the check valve out of the nipple? it looks like you could use standard screwdriver, but just keeps turning?

yes, the nipple in the fill assembly if you see a leak in there while hydro testing it, you might need to get the gun charge up to the at least close to the right pressure .

check valve is behind the fill nipple, just unscrew the fill nipple, check valve in inside, make sure you remove the pressure inside first before doing this.
