Hello CAF,
Who makes a reliable SIG P226? I would prefer more metal than plastic.
Thanks,
Threemorewishes

Isn't that SIG makes their own airguns, so you won't be able to buy any other brand other than SIG itself....

Far from true there YepYep, lots of knock offs by lots of manufactures. The OP hasn't given much else info, BB? Pellet? I'll list a couple options below.

https://www.airgunsource.ca/us/search/P226/ - legit sig versions

https://www.replicaairguns.ca/search?q=P226 - KWC versions, KJ Works versions

The problem here is the OP used the word Reliable... none of the Sig ASP products I would consider 'reliable' and I haven't tried the knock offs.

Hmmm~ interesting ~
Strange knowledge gained... [emoji38]
I like my P226 X5 Open full metal, looks tough, however a bit wobble here and there... Don't shoot it a lot just a nice collection tho...

Thanks for the info.

If the Sig ASP products are less than reliable what brand and model would you consider reliable? I'm not stuck on a Sig 226.

Here's a short list of what I would like to find as well as a few comments/questions;
1-prefer all metal - but polymer frame is OK if real world pistol has polymer frame
2-threaded barrel - it would be nice to know thread specifications before purchase
3-blow back or non blow back - does blow back use additional gas? shot count differences between the two modes would be nice to know
4-BB or pellet (or both) - can a pistol that shoots both be accurate with both?
5-reliable - I've had a few junk guns in the past and don't want anymore

Thanks again,
Thremorewishes

All my replicas are blow-backs (if I have the choice), as for a 'Replica' I don't see a reason to buy a non blow-back version as anyway they can't match my demands about 'accuracy'. Usually about 40 shots per co2 is good enough to me... However looks that's not controllable as if leaking happens, you will just lost all the air when screw in the capsule..

Very less choices for treaded muzzle models... But there is still some...

I mainly just collect the replicas but shoot them not that often. I prefer BBs as they are more a better copy of the real world pistol. And the pellet version just a fake copy as it work on a completely different way...

I always want to give airsoft a try as they looks the best copy of the real metal and you can have parts to upgrade or fix it...

Anyway, not a really big fan on these anymore... You might find better answers from others~

Cheers~

I tried scrolling through the Airguns for Sale part of the forum for deals on replicas and was surprised to find so many SOLD ads still up.

It makes it hard to use that particular board. Is there a reason the SOLD ads are still up?

I have narrowed my choices to a Sig 226, a Colt 1911, a Beretta 92FS, a CZ 75 and a Glock.

Thanks,

Threemorewishes

IMO the SOLD ads give good reference for the conditions and prices in the past....

No it does not. It's a waste of bandwidth, and clutters up the forum. Personally I like to see the old ads deleted every month. Because what being offered, doesn't mean it is worth or sold for that much. Say if I want to quick sale a gun, someone will use that example and will try and low ball someone. Doesn't mean all the guns are worth that much. Then you got market inflation. Like 3-4 years a HW 45 could be found for 300$, now 450.. Does that mean I should offer 300?

Like I bought a 1911 for 450$, That gun is over 1200$.. So does that mean all them now only worth 450$?

Or make a separate subforum for sold items.

If you want the most accurate looking replica, the UMarex Glock G17 Gen4 is the most accurately copied replica I’ve held, and it’s officially licensed.

The Beretta is 92FS, is also extremely well replicated.

The 92FS is this the FA one is a good replica too? I always wanted one but bought the KWC 1911 tac instead.

I think you’re getting me mixed up with Mike from Replica Airguns, yes a similar name, and no it wasn’t on purpose lol. I have not reviewed a 92FA.

My reviews can be found here https://www.youtube.com/c/ReplicaTacticalCanada
