By competition style you mean something that is accurate for punching paper then for economy nothing beats the Beeman P17. It's a single stroke pneumatic or ssp. Lacks knockdown power but that's not what it's meant for. I don't own one but the crosman 2240's are supposed to be accurate and are well priced. Maybe a bit loud. Maybe you can tell us your budget for better recommendations.

Your enquiry raises three questions with me:
Why brand specific? (ergo, Why Diana?)
What do you mean by "competition"? Do you simply mean "a target gun - not a replica"
Since she is a beginner, how much are you looking to spend to have her "give it a shot"?

Would I be right if I were to assume the following:
• You used "Diana" because you want a quality name, not a piece of junk.
• You really mean a "target gun," not a replica
• $200 would be okay, and more later if she really digs it.

Acknowledge or correct those assumptions. Then, I think members can offer all kinds of options, ranging from cheap and ugly but accurate russian break-barrels, to gold-plated, wood furnitured, highly consistent, more accurate, micro-balanced PCPs.

Cheers.

To be clear, I am not looking for suggestion but looking to buy used from the forum.

1. I suggested Diana, only because they seem to be a well respected company,
Was about to buy this one today, had my add to cart finger ready... but it's sold out. https://www.replicaairguns.ca/diana-cha ... let-pistol

2. My wife tried shooting some of my replicas, and tried shooting my Diana 24, she has a natural knack for it and seems to enjoy the focus required to shoot well
She does not care for replica blow back, so... its all about the paper target for her

3. Budget up to $250

5. She is tiny and not much arm strength so any pump lever is not good and PCP to high end, tanks , pumps etc.
So C02 is preferred

Since this is just a curious interest for her, I don't want to invest big. She may shoot for a few moths and give it up, but I would prefer getting a decent shooter
at a used price..

I think this further info will help you find something. For starters, The Diana Chaser might just be what you're looking for.
$139+ with one repeater mag.

https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/diana-chaser-co2-pistol-black/ Same pistol. Same price (without mag) In Stock. Chat with wesb2007 if you have any questions.

Cheers.

Well Most Diana's now are just rebadged Chinese SPA/Snowpeak airguns. Not many are made in Germany. I had a 240 classic that quality was no better than a Ruger Airhawk. I found the grip on the chaser, not really that comfortable for 2 handed off hand shooting. Not as nice as say a Crosman 22/13xx.

In the end I bought this one from Wes
https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/diana-chase ... kit-black/

My wife can shoot it as a hand gun, and I can shoot it as a long barrel

Tks all
