Interesting. I do not know for sure, if that would happen here - likely not.
PG is a training detachment, so stats are VERY important. This was explained
to me many years ago, by a S/Sgt. in a conversation about a war relic and
the registration of it. They would register it, NP, but would have to know who
the soldier was who brought it back from overseas, so charges could be laid
against him. He would have had custody of a restricted firearm without a
registration certificate.
Go figure.
