I had mine done by a member here, but I don't recall who it was. The tube holds 2000 psi. Pretty nice shooter.

I've been wanting one for years. I gave up trying after a few failed attempts.

Now I'm just planning to get a Beeman QB Chief, probably easiest way these days. But I can't find one in stock in Canada. Any leads? Even used would be great, as long as it is stock and not Bubba'd.

You need 4130 chromoly tube, but the thickness I'd have to find an old piece to measure thickness. Find a machinest to mill and drill it, including proper retaining screws and dimensions for shear strength x3. I paid 298+ tax n shipping for my tube way back.

I'm interested in this since I have a QB79 which is converted to use a 13ci/3000 PSI Ninja bottle.

Reading online reveals contradictory opinions regarding the safe pressures, especially that of requiring additional screws and of the advisability of removing trigger screws with the bottle in place.

If anyone has further information, I'm likely not to be the only appreciative ear.

You're a little vague as far as stating what exactly it is that you're interested in. If you have specific questions, best to just ask outright.

A "good" tubing to use is.. JMO...7/8" od x .065" seamless 4130. Pinned in what I would consider a "proper" manor, it will have a minimum 3x safety factor at MWP of 3000psi.

Some reading on pinning; Keep screw holes a minimum of 1.5x the hole diameter from from the tube edge. Measured from the hole center to the tube edge...I prefer and use 2x.
