Hi,

I finally got around to playing with the old 38T, and I wanted to adjust the rear sight. Well the windage screw was seized up, and of coarse I broke it. After inspecting the sight, the previous owner had lost the original sight blade, and had installed this homemade one in its place.

After going through my parts drawer, I found a rear sight of a old Lakefield 64b .22. They seemed to match up well, so I flipped the sight upside down, and cut the rounded part off with a dremel. I then used the original screw to attach it to the gun. I then opened up the notch at the back with a square file and put a dab of white paint on the front blade. A couple test shots and im right where I want to be.

Long story short, a working sight that is still adjustable, with 0 modifications to the 38T. This will last until I can find a replacement, or maybe longer.

Happy airgunning,
J_K_S

While the Cooey sight was decent, I wasn’t really happy with it. The black on black was pretty hard to see with my old eyes.

I decided to print a rear sight, in PLA +. It’s a 3 dot style sight, just put a dab of white paint on the front sight blade and your back in business.
