I’m looking for a Diana Model 70 spring youth rifle. I know there aren’t a lot out there, hoping someone may have one in their tickle trunk. Thanks!

You looking for a 70 or a 72? I have been looking out for a 72 for years, one I would not have to mortgage the house to buy.

70 and 72 are almost identical the 72 is the Giss contra-recoil system

The Diana models 70 and 72 youth target rifles are breakbarrel spring rifles based on Diana’s breakbarrel models 5 and 6 target pistols.
The model 5 pistol/model 70 rifle are the recoiling versions and the models 6/72 are the recoilless versions of the same gun.
All Diana did to make these rifles was install a longer barrel shroud over the pistol barrel and drop the pistol action into a shoulder stock.

fishguy did you not sell a 75 recently or am I mistaken with someone else...

I am in fact looking for a 70, not a 72. Hoping for the less complex 70.

Truth be told, I have one, and am hoping for a second so that each of my boys can have their own.

Yes, I did sell a 75 a while back. I think I’ve sold just about one of every model at one point or another... I’ve held onto this 70, and will not let it go. It would be a near miracle I think for me to find a second 70.

Ace, I have been thinking of looking for a model 6 pistol and do just what Diana did to turn it into a rifle. My granddaughter is five right now so I have a couple of years to make it happen. Lots more of the pistols around compared to the rifles.

First grandson will be born in April, so it could be passed on to him. Looking ahead.
