I got a utg 4-15x55 having trouble lowering the reticle to the POI at 100 plus yards. Any tips for scope mounts? I got medium profile and my scope wont fit on my hw97k currently have it on a picatinny dove tail adapter guess it's to high? I'm at my 5th mildot scope maxed as low as it will go at 90 yards... weird thing is before I switched to the medium dove tail mounts I had dead center reticle poi on my picatiny adapter at 90 yards after realizing the scope wont fit I put it back and now its poi at the 5th mildot is somthing wrong with my scope?

Airgun pellets drop more than firearms. You just ran out of adjustment. Why not just ditch the adapter and go with dovetail scope rings? Allowing lower scope mounting?

well first thing is it was shooting dead center poi at 90 yards before I switched to the dove tail. then when I switched to the dove tail the scope wont fit because the fat part sits on the front of the gun and wont sit in the mount properly. and the poi was so low it was almost not even in the view of the scope which makes no sense. then I put the adapter back on with factory rings and now it will only go to the 5th mildot. How does raising the scope allow me to lower the reticle more? makes zero sense. gun shooting at a normal 690 fps I think the scopes defective :s

"Why not just ditch the adapter and go with dovetail scope rings?"

This means new rings that will give the necessary height for your scope and gun.
I have no idea why you cannot get the elevation needed.
a 17.1moa or 21moa base will give you the necessary elevation, easily.
like this one. You could likely use lower rings, or not, up to you.

Also - your scope could be defective - IT happens.

These compensator bases are made for springers with drooping barrels. I use one on my HW97, just because I had it, although didn't need it due
to the solid barrel system. Regardless, it will give more elevation & makes adjustments easier for close range shooting with high scope mounting.
