well i came to the conclusion that i can barely hit stationary targets so i figured i,d make a moving one. wait that don,t make sense does it. this ones fun though. i made it (as usual). with stuff i have sitting around. the drill i got a long time ago for about $20.00 bucks and i never use it. i know theres probably 100 ways to make these things -- but this is my spin on it. it works great and it,s fun.

i heard that cd. i would have done a video but i don,t know how. so i,ll explain how it works.-- when i hit the target it falls back onto the l or corner bracket.and rests there until it rotates to the bottom where it falls back onto the magnets i have embedded in the wheel. i grinded the target shape out of those oblong metal things. i found them in the electrical aisle at home hardware. .25 cents each.

[emoji38] Pete~ That's really an interesting one! I do want to watch the video on how it works if there's one~

One quick question ~ how fast does it spins? And if you have any method to control the spinning speed? Thinking you need a way to make it spinning in random speed otherwise it would be still easy to hit~ [emoji38] [emoji14]

thanks lads. i tried a little video but for some reason it didn,t work. the speed is just controlled by pressing the trigger. i wanted to put a worm clamp around the trigger but thats the only thing i didn,t have handy. i tried tape. but after that i put another piece of wood in front of the trigger and wedged a smaller piece in between. works good until i can get a clamp. i ran it slow to test it because i was only using my p17.

So, you do need a video for "full impact". Before pandemic I wasn't very savvy with videos but I have a lot of experience now. If I can help just shoot me a PM.

been gone for a bit. the targets kept falling off when i hit them. so i waited for some better screw on hooks from amazon. while i was waiting i cut some nice little metal duckys from electrical cover plates. painted them a nice yellow. the problem i have now is i can,t get the right slow speed out of the drill. it either goes to fast or just stops when i slow it down. i was thinking of buying a rotisserie motor from amazon. i,ve watched you tube videos of these and they look a bit slow. but with my eyes --the slower the better. any body got any other ideas.

you could get a small variable speed motor, usually find them in hardware stores
or RC motor or even a sewing machine motor kit with foot pedal and you can control
you speed.... :wink: 8)

finally got back to it. the drill didn,t work out . so i got a rotisserie motor from amazon. not the fastest thing--- but guess what--- i can barely hit targets that are standing still.lol. so the speed on this one is perfect for me.it resets by itself and thats what i was going for. i couldn,t shoot test it because my neighbour was in his garage beside mine. i don,t usually shoot when they are in there. i did a video -- i.ll try to put it on. the video wouldn,t go on. it says the extension 3gp is not allowed. i didn,t have a spit rod so i had to make a piece out of wood to fit the square hole in the motor and the threaded rod.
