I changed my mind about the cz527 carbine ....
I just find out that the Tikka lite is much better rifle, alot of people
in the club claim good accuracy at 400 to 500 yards ..... nize...
The price can't go wrong too, 699 at elwoodepps, the stainless steel one.

Sorry...don't like the Tikka's. Way too much plastic for my liking (not nylon...plastic.) Give me a Model 7 or 700 any day.

Not a fan of the synthetic stocks, but those Tikka's can shoot.
If I were you I would stick with the CZ and look at the Prestige model's. Beautiful wood. I have seen one in person and the pic's of it on the net do it NO justice. Just beautiful

Nice looking gun Dan. I have no experience with either, but have read good reviews for both. If it doesn't work out for you, you can always sell it. I'm sure you'll like it though.

Thanks Gents ...

Yes, it is 223

I just held one tonight at the LeBaron , it's nice and very light.
everybody in the club swear by it. They come out of Oshawa distributor
the stoeger. I guess it's made in Finland.
too bad LeBaron doesn't have the 223 cal. but their price is over 800 bucks.

Sniper...remember: Lighter is not always better, esp. when you are talking about a paper puncher. My 700 mountain (7mm/08) weighs in at 6.75 lbs (with scope!). PERFECT for carrying on a long hike in.....but would I shoot groups with it? Nope. 700 sendero for that job. Even the savage FP is more suited to long distance (read: 300m +) shooting, the T3 is really just a sporting (read: hunting) gun.

My opinion....and worth exactly what you paid for it.

Hi Ryan,

The gun alone is over six lbs. and scope it'll be about 8 lbs. with good
center weight since the havier barrel end part over the light stock.
The problem is during the competition, we have to shoot so many rounds
at 50 yards in less than 3 sec. standing from rest position and lift up
the rifle and shoot, it gets very intense, tiring and try to control breathing
while heart beat is about 1000 strokes/min. ...lol... it's totally different
than plinking or trying to shoot varmint. Actually I was thinking it would
be nice using a semi-auto like an AR-15 but then AR-15 is NOT practicle
since it can't be used for outdoor plinking ...lol...but there's alot of guys
at the club own one/two of those ....
