Great read here!
Well, I'm 43, turning 44 in a couple months. Joined the forum in 2016, but was lurking for several months before that. 8)
I grew up on the farm, got my first air rifle at 10 years old for Christmas, a Chinese springer 177 that was deadly accurate with Crosman pellets. Did a pile of shooting with it, shot a pile of barn swallows and sparrows, a few grouse and rabbits and the odd unlucky magpie. 8)
At 12 years old I graduated to a Lakefield bolt action 10 shot 22 cal rimfire and then got into hunting big game etc. with a 6.5x55 Swedish army rifle my dad modified to a carbine for me. Got a Crosman 357 sometime in there but was a bit disappointed at its lack of killing power so never shot it too much.
25 years later, my daughter was born with a malfunctioning heart and after 5 stressful months she got a miracle and was able to receive a heart and get a heart transplant. Soon after that when I finally returned to work, I had an accident and fell through the roof of a tall pole shed we were tinning and shattered my elbow and injured my back.
In the midst of all that I found my love of Airguns again. Bought a Crosman 1322 and started reading Bob Sterne's threads and Doc Sharptail was a great enabler in my modding addiction and I was hooked. 8)
After having great fun with modding the 1322, I got a QB78 and converted it to a reverse bottle pcp. After that a Beeman Chief and copied a bunch of Bob's mods for power on it. Got excited about Snowpeak guns and eventually ended up ordering a load of Artemis Air rifles and started an online Airgun store, Airgunarcheryfun.ca.
Raman at Canadashootingsupply.ca has been a great friend and we made orders from Snowpeak together.
In the midst of all that I had gone back to school, got my masters degree in Counseling and worked as a counsellor for a year. My online store got too busy to handle with a second job and four children so I quit my counselling job and went full time selling Airguns. Not long after that covid hit and everything shut down at the counseling center, at least temporarily, so it was good timing, since the schools shut down and we found ourselves having to try homeschooling. I've enjoyed being able to see my children lots and be a dad, and help feed the addiction of all you airgun fanatics. 8)
Thanks,
Wes

I just turned 31 recently but I enjoy the forum and knowledge even as a youngin'

Maybe because I was active when forums were a new thing on the internet and I grew up in an area "behind the times" I don't know but I have used plenty of forums over the years.

I am into target shooting and someday would like to do competition shooting.

I am a digital designer but love product design and the way airguns refine a product and focus on quality and precision really drew me in. I have been shooting air guns since I was 11 or a little under and have always focused on accuracy.

Below (not my photo) is essentially the same as the first pellet gun I got with the little peep and fiber op sight on the front. Still have it today actually... I should update my signature. (Crossman Marksman Model -- Maybe model 1798? The biathlon trainer one)

I shot this thing FOREVER! And got crazy accurate with it despite that it was never a very accurate gun I was shooting the symbols out of player cards and dimes/pennies from the tops of fences. (And more than a few squirrels early on.)

I would still be into the idea of hunting birds maybe but am not actively hunting right now.

But yeah happy to be here even if only in and out!

57, retired, sold the motorcycles, boat and purchased a 42' fifth wheel, just ordered my first 25 cal pcp. 8 guns is less money than one dirt bike. My brothers first shot with his bb gun in 1972 bounced back off the oak door and hit me in the chest. All my airguns were hand me downs till 8 months a go till the addiction started.

42 yr old electronics instructor.
I'm on the other side of Wes, during the remote schooling.
Glad to be back full time.
Recently moved out to 5ac and with 2 boys under 10, starting to have some outdoor fun shooting targets.
Recently wrote my restricted, just waiting for my pal.
Then daddy gets his big air gun.

No intentions yet to go powder buring, but who knows what the future holds.
