Nice job.
I have one of these on the list to reseal as well, for a friend.
Curious what you're using to paint pot metal. Must have been some new developments in past several years.

Beautiful restoration Ace. It’s great to see another piece of history restored instead of destroyed.

I was going to say the same.....the stripped finish looked amazing......if you removed the finish from the clip you would have a one of a kind. But the restoration is perfect!!

Looks great Ace. Should live on for another generation.

I noticed in one picture that the cam roller is missing (38-019). I might have a spare somewhere, but finding it may be an issue.

actually that pic of the blasted finish doesn't show how good it actually looked
it almost had a metal flake sparkle to it, I didn't want to touch the the clip I actually left that as is
and the trigger and hammer since those are all moving parts, so unless you can anodize or powder coat them
I wouldn't paint them, those parts wont last long without getting marked up... :(

I used a sandblaster and then hand polished a real turd of a 38C, with Mother Mag and Wheel polish. Turned out better than expected. The 38s frame is some sort of Zimac metal, which won’t polish like steel.
