Looking for someone with a lathe who can turn down the ends too. The barrel in it is a smooth bore for BB's. Looking for someone who has a .177 6" of a barrel for pellets. I would send you the barrel I have, so you get the ends right.

If have a deceased DW 715 6" pellet (dark chrome), i would be interested in that also!

Thanks

Check crosman 1077, 2100, 2100B, AM77 inner barrels.
They are cheap, full lenght, rifled and accurate.
Both are about 8mm (.312) diameter by some 20 inches in length.

1077 part number is #1077006
2100 part number is #766C101

im surr with some simple tools you can achieve this conversion. I have done .177 to airsoft and back, on different guns, a few times with just simple tools. I trust in you!

I guess the smooth bore BB barrel, is different inside then for pellet? Yeah I'll get the barrel, then go from there. How do i cut it to length and do the ends?..hmmm not tools for that stuff.

What about Crosman 6" 357 .177 or some other pistols as such?

Hey!

Smooth bore barrels will not induce rotation that a pellet needs in order to fight it's way thru the air. Just like in the NFL, the quarterback spins that ball in order to be precise and achieve a desir3d lenghtt.

Riffled barred have grooves in them that the pellet is forced to follow and when at the crown, where it leaves the barrel, it has whatever twist the rifling inside has induced into it.

Some guns will simply not convert from BB only to pellets. Its like fitting a blue square into a smaller, red circle shaped hole.

Most AIR revolvers on the market today operate on the same principle and if you look closely, are even manufactured pretty much with 'interchangeavle' parts. They are well suited for BB to pellet conversion but then, you need the right cartridges i think.

A simple hacksaw will do wonders to cut that barrel... its really thin material. You shoul get a caliper also. Its a must for precise measurements in all fields. They are cheap, some evn plastic...

i know the difference between the different barrels but thanks! This one 715 6" shots BB's and pellets. My 4" 715 pellet shells fit perfectly into the cylinder, that's all i've been shooting, I haven't even used BB's yet. Just looking for 6" of .177 riffled barrel:)

Well I found a Crosman 2100 full .177 barrel, I only need 6" of it and cut to the same shape as the stock BB barrel.

That's great. Make sure you either use the existing crown or that you have an idea of how to re-crown your barrel. Otherwise... accuracy will most likely suffer as the crown is the last thing a projectile has for contact with the barrel.

Keep us/me posted on your development! Have fun!
