I don't know if this helps any. I have made and installed many muzzle brakes for powder burners over the last 30 years. The industry standard is 1/2" X 28 tpi for calibres up to .308" bullet diameter. 5/8X24 is common over 30 cal.

Very nice work!

As promised, here is a picture. I just put her back together as I am going shooting tomorrow. I didn’t get around to fabricating a new trigger blade yet as I wanted.

Nope! No special treatment that I know of. I purchased it from a friend, a member here, who, as far as I know, did not alter it at all. In fact, it was practically new as he never shot it much, he’s more of a PCP guy.
It’s just naturally that dark.

So I went today and found problems with repeatability with the muzzle break on. Upon having a closer look at my target, I saw that several of the flyers were key holes. Pellets are clipping. Without it, one holer all day long. I’m going to rebore it larger and try again. Not much difference in balance, center of gravity maybe 1/2” forward.

Max.

What you should gain from that muzzle brake/weight is less muzzle flip, which should equate to slightly better accuracy, especially vertically.

I intend to add some weight to the end of my HC barrel, but I do not want to increase the length. I'll come up with something I hope.

Went shooting today. I tried my muzzle break now rebored larger. No more clipping. It did change the POI but did not affect accuracy negatively.
Sub 1” groups at 40 yards on a casual shooting day with CPHP’s works for me.

Max.
