Well, it's actually my first 853, I've done 2 other 953 projects.
This one was stock, struggling to shoot above 400 fps. I replaced the O-ring seals, added some lube, filled the pump cup, and did the Pilkington trigger mods. Very sweet shooter, now shooting RWS Hobbys at 460-470 fps into a clean hole at 10 yds. My eyesight is too bad for the peep sights, so it has a 4-12x40 AO scope on it, and I added a 3D printed air stripper for
bling to match the stainless butt extension. Very happy with how this turned out. NEXT! :drinkers:

Nice~ scope is a good stuff~ :D

And a 3D printed air striper? Only for blings? You mean unadjustable?

Yep, YepYep unadjustable and just for show. The stripper doesn't affect the accuracy but the ss insert matches the butt extension with the black/shiny thing going on there.
I'm already feeling sad and bored.. I need another project.

That's a nice one.
I had one years ago, had a big heavy muzzle weight on it.
Boy can they ever shoot though. Mine was right at the 490 mark with hobbys.
Nice fun to shoot guns. 8)

I had a 953, liked it. This being wood stock is even better.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 853 has the Lothar barrel and heavy muzzle weight and wood stock, otherwise identical to the 953.

Pretty much. I have both and have worked on them extensively. The 853 also has better stock sights.

Beautiful work Duke!
