Finally did some testing with my FX chrono... seems like my HW80 is shooting around 17.5 FT/lbs.
Here are results from groups of 5 shots.

-JSB Exact Jumbo 15.89gr - 17.6 ft/lbs.
-JSB Hades 15.89gr. - 17.53 ft/lbs.
-H&N FTT 14.66gr. - 17.61 ft/lbs.
-H&N Baracuda 18.21gr. - 16.08 ft/lbs.
-JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13gr. - 17.15 ft/lbs.

Best grouping for my rifle is JSB Hades 15.89gr. and then JSB Exact Jumbo 15.89gr

So - around 700fps with the Hades.
It should shoot fairly well in that power range.

By the way, as the gun had been checked with a chrony, is the speed consistent?

I believe the gun has a good barrel, and if speed consistent too, means it's actually working well and should be accurate...

So I agreed try again with open sight, at least we can eliminate the scope problem (if any), and go further from that starting point...

Here are my chrony results:

JSB Exact Jumbo 15.89gr. : 703 / 703 / 710 / 703 / 707 = 5 shots which calculates average of 17.55 FT/lbs.
JSB Hades 15.89gr. : 717 / 696 / 705 / 705 / 701 = 5 shots which calculates average of 17.53 FT/lbs.
H&N FTT 14.66gr. : 733 / 738 / 740 / 735 / 731 = 5 shots which calculates average of 17.61 FT/lbs.
H&N Baracuda 18.21gr. : 631 / 636 / 624 / 626 / 636 = 5 shots which calculates average of 16.08 FT/lbs.
JSB Heavy 18.13gr. : 645 / 654 / 654 / 656 / 654 = 5 shots which calculates average of 17.15 FT/lbs.
JSB Exact Jumbo 15.89gr. : 703 / 703 / 710 / 705 / 696 / 696 / 710 / 710 / 712 / 707/ 712 / 712 / 705 / 707 = 14 shots which calculates average of 17.6 FT/lbs.

These numbers looks good to me~

The best way to figure out the mystery should be asking someone else to shoot your 80 and better the gentleman has his 80 that you can try on...

And, let's see the open sight result?!

Thanks for the numbers, much appreciated. It seems that Maccari Soft Kit has more power than I thought it would. I have a Maccari Power Kit for my HW80 that I will be installing in the near future, but after seeing these numbers I wonder if I should have got the soft kit.

Also, your top accuracy pellet being the JSB Hades is the opposite of my results. The Hades pellets in .22 don't shoot well in any of my .22 airguns. They even fit loose in the barrels of all my airguns, which makes me think is why they aren't accurate. I have an older model HW80, got it in 1994, and I think Weihrauch changed the rifling of the .22 barrels since then. Mine has 6 lands, whereas the newer .22 barrels are 12 lands. I don't know when the change happend, unfortunately.

However, the JSB 15.9 gr is now my go to pellet in my HW80, especially with power tune (combination of aftermarket parts) I currently have. It's as accurate as the previous champion, the H&N Field Target Trophy, but being slightly heavier, the JSB hangs on the energy longer down range.
