Got a Hatsan air stripper as my next toy to play with...

Just wondering if any of you had put your hands on one and can advise how to loose and adjust the grub screw?

It's very very tight and I don't want to force it as looks the size of the screw is not a standard one? I have 2mm (gauged at 1.91mm) and 5/64 hex driver which are a loose fit on the screw.

Then the next bigger size 2.5mm (actually 2.44mm) and 3/32 hex driver are too big and wouldn't fit into the grub screw head... Image

Good suggestion, Duke. I use Torx drivers on many scope screws that just seem a little "off".

Looks I have a set of 'strange' bits for the non standard screws (like the security screws etc)... Should have the trox bits in it~ Thanks!!

Thanks Duke! You are awesome!

The T8 Torx drive just the prefect fit to the screw!. Thinking that's what it for instead of a normal hex grub screw...

Super duper tight! Not as tight as the molds I worked on before that you felt the vibration from the wrist to the shoulder and heard the crispy 'ting' sound when you loosed the screw but close enough for such a tiny one as the driver head looks bent a little bit on the teeth... ImageImageImage

The grub screw cut into the copper inner tube so deep in the factory... That's why it's so tight... Image

You're welcome Yep, I also use the Torx on my scope rings.
Rsterne did a post tread a few years ago on centering and adjusting the Hatsan air stripper.
I did one to show how groups were affected by adjusting it as well, but I just used trial and error and a lot of patience.

Thanks for the extra info provided!

This is actually a 25 cal one which I buy for the later project on my first .25 build based on the PP700SA.

Not sure how it would work on a 22 cal one currently I have in hand~

But I think it would be interesting to give it a try~

The PP700SA is awesome in .25 cal. Yes the trajectory is a little loopy at sub 500fps but even then it sure packs a lot of punch. I keep mine in my truck during hunting season and it works great for partridge. What barrel do you plan on using? I used a .25 pellet barrel from TJ’s and shoots the Kings great.

Loopy is for some distance that not included in my basic <10 yards basement range~ [emoji38]

Didn't get my barrel yet~ I ordered one from Wes which in the next production run and things just going slow and slower these days... I am patient anyway...

Have prepared some Exact King and H&N FTT in the house already...
