Just doing some research on PCP compressors. I was wondering if anyone has the Hill EC-3000 Compressor. It's about 3X the cost of the Umarex and the Chinese compressors that are available. Is it worth the extra money, as in buy once, cry once or replace the cheaper one when it dies....3 times? Oh, and I don't even have a PCP rifle yet. That will be another topic for another day. Maybe the new Gauntlet, or Marauder or Air Arms 510, or....... :D

You know murphy's law? The $5K or a $15K compressor can die same as the $500 compressor.
I got a YongHeng a year ago and if I can take well care of it it can last long, eventually I may buy a spare compressor head for $80 from ali.
I never let it run hot, when reaches to 50C I shut it down for couple minutes to cool down. I also built an air pre-filter about one liter size, filled with orange premium desiccant, you would be surprised how much moisture shown on intake.

I have two Yong Heng clones, one of which has given some trouble but all has been resolvable. I converted one to closed loop cooling so it's easier to transport and no longer needs the water bucket.
