The HW40 and 45 are wonderful pistols. I still have a couple of the P17 clones.

That Steyr Sillywet pistol is a beaut! The vertical grip would be more comfortable with taco hold than a heavily raked 10m grip. My poorman's version of that pistol would be an old Daisy 790 with a glued on scope rail... lol. It's quite a bit louder than the TAU-7 but shoots about the same speed at 475fps. I haven't had it out shooting yet this summer but plan to soon.

As do I. I didn't realize how serious AP Silhouette could be. Not a matchdot? I am unaccustomed seeing a two hand grip on a steyr AP. That action looks very interesting. Must be a spring loaded manual advance unlike the LP50 which is auto advance. Too bad that action isn't target sprint allowed. Would be a lot closer to mimicking biathon but I understand they have to keep the playing field level in terms of equipment availability and price. Do that have that action in an air rifle? I'm almost drooling over that.

I'm pretty sure the Steyr Silhouette use the same action/magazine as the LGB1 (Or Haenel B96)
- Never saw one in Canada. They would have needed to be tune-down, in the EU they are listed as 575fps

- A similar action is used for the Hunting 5 (but incompatible magazine)

There are a few non-issf grip option for the Steyr's

And Nordic Marksman seems to have them in stock. Yikes. The FX Crown and upgrade to a 800x may have to wait a bit longer. If they ran target sprint in my area I think it would be a done deal.

Just noticed that Steyr has the LGB1 "Sprint"
- Wonder if there's anything different other than it coming with some single shot magazines instead of 5 shots magazine?

A little off-topic but...
- Wonder if the preferred tactic to use different single-shot magazine for each pellet, or simply reload the same magazine over and over?

According to the Steyr website the sprint version ejects the mag after each shot far enough for loading but retains the mag in the action. Those buggers ... even more advantage.

That's kind of what the LGB1 does already :?
- Unless the magazine advance automatically after the shot is fired ?

My Walther LP53 Kurtz….at 500 fps the pellet has already left the gun before the recoil takes place and the difference between this doing this speed against a regular model is night and day.
