This is still one of my favorite replica guns to shoot. The first blowback pellet pistol, using the Umarex 8 shot rotary clip. The gun is very accurate, considering its a blowback. I have never used any optics on it, I always prefer open sights. But as I get older and my vision does what happens with age, I may mount a red dot on it.
I also had one of our great members, Plinkercases (member14163.html) make a custom Punisher holster for it.

Any questions, feel free to ask.............

He pops in once and a while. I am friends with him on FB, where he is more active.

I doubt you will ever see it in metal unless its an airsoft. I had the Daisy BB version, and it was made out of hard brittle plastic. The softer plastic over metal construction of the Umarex feels more durable. Similar to the Walther CP99 or the Glock.

The trigger has a longer pull with a light release. I havent had a chance to test the weight of the pull.

I concur, the Umarex Desert Eagle is one awesome pellet shooter. Big heavy gun with solid blowback, and nice accuracy. I have two of them.

Quite the hog on CO2 though. I get around 4 clips (good 32 shots) on one CO2. Sometimes I can squeeze out 40 shots if I use lighter pellets.

Only fault is that there was a defect in some of them, in that the heavy blowback would break the plastic slide. Creates a problem in that no parts to repair it.

Luckily, my repair guy found a slide for me.

This may be why Umarex discontinued it.

If they reintroduce it, possibly in the Legends line, maybe a metal slide & drop out magazine in place of the rotary one. And would it be sweet with a full auto selector switch?

A modern version is currently in the KWC catalogue. So should not be that hard to get to market.

I also have the Daisy 400 copy of the DE. Also a nice gun. Simple BB shooter. Was one of the earliest blow back replica airguns. I get around 60 shots from one CO2.

I'm still looking for the very limited edition Daisy 400GX with gold plating.

One day I may add a Desert Eagle to my collection. That Umarex version looks very nice and shoots pellets.

Very nice holster Jonathan! And glad to see these fine replicas are still being used.

Then you'll need to shop used, they're unfortunately no longer made. I have one in good condition, that came from our regretted Doug (aka wllm995 here on the forum), so I have many good reasons to cherish it.
