Looks like a pretty serious machine. I'll definitely be looking at used equipment options. Best way to go I think. I bought my 7x12 used and saved roughly half what busy bee wants for it now.

I have the 10x18. Spindle fits barrels for all my powder burners, able to even fit R700 bolt on a threading jig. Like most other Chinese lathe on busy bee, a lot of tuning and additional accessories would be required before you can use it. Also it's pretty loud because of the gear drive.

I would highly recommend going with a used lathe instead. Mostly because of the tooling and accessories that would be coming with it. Also they are heavy and weird to move, I somehow managed to move it to a basement, but it's staying there for good.
