Just my oppion, h and n could take lessons from Neilson. They have so many different sizes in most calibers that you can actually find your own custom load. Of coarse not all barrels will shoot slugs. Mostly depends on the actual barrel and size.Of coarse the only real bennefit of shooting slugs is for longer range, say 50 and out to 100.

I also can say the Neilsen slugs seem like a higher quality product compared to the h&n stuff. I tested a whole bunch in different weights and sizes in both brands. Although, the gun seemed to prefer a certain weight and wasn't too picky with size or brand. So, your experience could definitely be different.

I have watched several vids of Neilson and his factory . The man is pocessed. He buys perfect machinery to get perfect results. Very interesting vids. Tells all and the whys and how comes. He is by far a standard in the slug field. When you can consistantly hit golf balls and shot gun shells at 100 yds. That has to to say something about the ammo.If you doubt my word , look up Stephen the banker on u tube. Just watch his anttics at 100 yds, and with a less than a 400 dollar gun.First of all to be able to shoot that far all the time , takes an unbelievable amount of repeatablity, startting with the ammo . Nuff said.

The end product does show the effort put into them. Totally. They look perfect. But as with any barrel/projectile combination, a nicer looking bullet means next to nothing.

"Nuff said" is pretty well saying you have the definitive answer and would everyone else, shut up.

Not sure if folks using the term realize that.
