Since recently getting back into air guns I've fixed my friends old Pioneer .177 rifle and tonight I just completely stripped his old Medalist 1322 and replaced every seal and the piston cup, cleaned it up and it is shooting great again. It was so much easier to do that I'd ever suspected, fun to.

So much easier on the body to, not like working on the truck or other large items.

The Pioneer is a snappy little gun, lots of power for it's size. Before I started it was down to around 300fps, after it is now shooting 550fps and all it did was replace the leather breech seal with an O ring and give the piston seal a good oiling.

I agree, it is the most satisfying feeling to work on an old gun and get it up and running again. I have almost as many guns in my collection that are being worked on, as fully functioning. I find it just and enjoyable working on them as shooting them.
