Not certain if anyone is counting down the days like I am but I’m pumped for the opener. Grouse , partridge and rabbit open on the 15th in my area and open until December 15th. I’ve got myself what I think will be a great rifle, just about the perfect sight for out to 40 yards not to mention an ample supply of cast hollow point slugs. I have a weeks worth of holidays starting on the 17th and I’m headed up to some remote location where the hunting and fishing have yet to let me down. Good luck out there, shoot safe and for gods sakes be careful when out in the woods.

I’m back from the trip to the promise land and it did not disappoint. The Leshiy 2 wearing my favorite Vector optics Calypos 3x prism sight performed extremely well. I ended up getting my bag limit three days in a row of ruffed grouse. The last day I found myself in a bunny haven just after sun up. I got three in less than two minutes , fast follow up shots with the Leshiy made it possible. Having some friends over tonight for some “ chicken “ fingers and pickerel. Hope everyone is having as good of luck as I’m having this early in the season.
