I'm amazed at the new types of airguns they are coming out with. Anyone who doesn't appreciate the beauty & uniqueness of this, has to be (to quote Blackbeard) a "scurvy rat".

And a respectable 415 fps, with 30 shot internal magazine.

Without doubt, we are certainly in the golden age of replica airguns.

Maybe next up, the Kentucky Long Rifle & the Brown Bess?

Is that 30rds capacity all in one shot like a blunder bus?

The description says 1 at a time.
Not likely a tack driver given the lack of sights, but looks like a fun plinker
.

Id think it would be cooler, if it fired like a blunderbuss, with multiple BB firing.

These are much closer to a pirate's pistols.
Their concept is interesting, though. Their "cock" comes back to far
at full bent position.

Daryl, are these pictured, real guns (muzzle loaders), non firing replicas, or airguns?

Just showing them to show what "pirate" guns actually looked like. They were not some fantasy gun
as shown by the BB gun on this thread.
Yes - they are actual English-styled pistols. The top one is .58 cal. and smoothbored while the bottom one
is .54 cal. and rifled. The both shoot black powder and patched round balls. I've made 2" 5-shot groups at
30yards from a rest, with the bottom pistol.
Both are of the 18th century. The bottom pistol's design might also have run well into the 19th century.
I actually have 2 barrels for it, a .45 octagonal bl. for BP competition that has a very fast rate of twist and
shoots well with both patched round balls and 220gr. slugs.

Daryl, great looking historical pieces. But, I think the BB version might be a little more basement/backyard friendly.

Daryl, do these black powder guns of yours require a PAL to own & shoot?

Question;

How do you aim this type of pistol without any sights?

Or is it just "spray & pray".

Maybe it should be a multi shot with each trigger pull, like the Walther SG9000 BB shotgun.

Unlike flintlock rifles, flintlock pistols are still regulated, that is, they are still restricted handguns, thus a restricted PAL.

Flintlock "long-guns" of any age, are all classified as antiques and do not require a PAL, such as these.
1st my 20 bore English flowler
.50 cal. "Beck" rifle
.36 Tennessee Mountain Rifle.

This one, a 2 1/2" bl. .45 cal. Phil. Derringer is a prohibited handgun.
The .44 Mag case is the powder measure for this pistol. The ball is visible
from the muzzle, even from an angle. The vel. is short of 500fps & will bounce
off a 2x4 at point blank range - hit me in the chest. LOL didn't even bruise nor hurt.

With practice, & I mean good practice, you don't need sights on a handgun out to about 15 yards with a powder burner.
Some guys are good to 25 yards.
(Shooting B27 silhouettes - all 10's)

I see no reason for this pistol being different, within it's operating range, or to 15 feet or so. Much like instinctive bow shooting.
