Just put a WTB for a Daisy 953, I'm sure someone will sell you one for Sub 150$.

You don't have to use 3 full CO2 cartridges in the Diana Trailscout. It works with one full cartridge and 2 empty ones. I get about 80 shots from one cartridge before the pellets start bouncing off the cardboard box.

I've ended up with a Daisy Boy Scouts 1910 smoothbore as my quiet pellet gun. It's child sized but works well. The Daisy Grizzly is probably similar.

Can also make a range muffler, to keep the wife happy.

You can line a box with egg carton foam, with a smaller exit hole. Some shoot thru rows of tires, some use 55 gal barrel lined in foam.

The Daisy 853 on Gun Post is pending so no go on that one.
Still looking.
So are break barrel springers quieter than other types?

This is the best option for what you are looking for. And quite honestly, very accurate out of the box. Good price point depending on which model you go with. And should you decide to sell down the road, they have a good resale value.
