Thanks guys!
It's been a fun project. Always learning new things as I go along...
I get that it looks a bit clunky... And having 2 separate actions is less than ideal. But for the purpose of the experiment, it works.

Not sure if I mentioned, I have figured out a way to design the action to open the bolt and cock the hammer in the same motion. And have the bolt follow the lever back into battery. Its gonna take a rack and pinion, and a hammer inside a sleeve. Think underlever spring gun with a compression chamber that cocks the piston. Then I'm like, hey, airsoft guns use a rack and pinion... Browning blr does too but thats a little different. Looked at the mechanisms inside the Henry and Winchester guns but that's a big nope. John browning gotta be my hero. Designed that stuff with a pencil. (not sure if John browning actually designed the blr.... But still.)

Of course I'll keep updating. Not much else going on

Well, where do you think I got the inspiration? :D

Please keep us all posted, inc. pictures.

If you are successful, I would like to offer up a Daisy 1894 for the next conversion.

You know... Maybe. Thank you for the offer. I think all I would be able to use is the trigger group though. I'll have to fabricate a lever.

Anyone know someone who can cut gears? I bet gippeto could do that

It's not fair of me to praise just former members here.
Lot of good guys doing much nicer work than myself came and went. And lots are still here. They just don't post much any more.
Then there's me.
I dare you to shut me up.

Little update.
I was shooting the gun down after I initially filled it, into a towel to muffle it. It definitely was suffering from hammer bounce.
Pondered hammer debounce devices for a couple days...
And I found a very crude solution. Well I donno... The idea is good.

I cut one side of the hammer down on a taper. With a slot behind the taper. Then I drilled a hole thru the tube for a plunger to poke through. So as the hammer launches foreward, the plunger rides up the wedge and clicks into the slot. On rebound the plunger catches the front of the slot? Whichever. Spring loaded the plunger with a feeler gauge. I just need to fashion a clamp to hold it down to the lever block.

Only problem I see with this design, is the plunger needs to be released manually to cock it again. Not so bad. I'll make a little pull knob.

I haven't seen it executed this way on an airgun.
Not saying I invented it or anything. I remember when 2240 hammer debouncers were all the rage back in 09. I never did get one to work. This is my second attempt

So I get that it looks like garbage. I was going to mill a flat into the added plate I soldered on there (but the end mill grabbed and spit the piece out cuz I'm an idiot  ) just wanted some extra beef there. The tube is only .070" so I doubled it up there.

I'll let ya'll know if it works.

Hah success! It actually works.
Just fired it a couple times to check.
Need to do some chrony work now. See if I need to cut the hammer spring down or something. No RVAs or SSGs on this baby.

There you have it. I went with the easiest path here.
Works out pretty good. Being a bit of a pack rat helps too

I was just reading Bob sternes write up on maximum PCP power output and his lofty goal math formula. For this particular setup, the goal is 186 ft lbs... Hmm

160fpe on 2000psi? Might want to back away from the chrony a little and see if that number holds up. Good start though! 8)

Yes I was quite shocked myself when I saw that number.
So at that point I figured I would detune the hammer. I shortened the stroke by .2", took off about 15 grams and put in a shorter spring.

With all those mods it's down to 853fps, at 2000 psi.
I'm pretty confident 160fpe is plausible. And I have room to hog out the transfer and breech port.

I guess I missed the post where you noted pellet/bullet weight and calibre.
