I'm pretty much a noob to the airgun maintenance thing. Can anyone recommend a source for moly lube suitable for springers such as my WF600? What percentage of moly in the carrier product is recommended? Just a thought, would an R/C shop carry it? Any more economical source than Amazon? (So many questions  )

ps. Thanks to those of you who replied to my question about upping the power on the WF600. I've decided that I'll just try to smooth out the shooting and accept it for what it is. Next year I'll give it a go as a close range pest control rifle.

Honda Moly works great. I also use synthetic brake lube. Its designed to take high temperature so you dont have detonation.

Hi you want to use a small amount of moly paste on the internals. Moly paste is >60% MoS2. Manyvor most of the hardware store moly grease is mostly petroleum based carrier with a touch of MoS2 and is to be avoided. Loctite KB 8912 moly paste is suitable, and Honda CV joint moly as well, both are >60% MoS2.

Use Moly LB 8012....65%moly...good stuff...can be found at Ackland Grainger....also heavy equipment companies like Caterpillar and aftermarket custom car shops can also carry it..can take some footwork though as its not always listed on websites...I found some at a Datsun Dealer but not for sale...dealers use only and they wouldn't even part with a thimble full... lol ..Luckily I found some at Nova Pro, Thunder Bay. Maybe they will ship it to you if you can't find any....Depends on the size of town you live in I guess whether you'll find some or not...

Here is a good deal for $10. Canadian dealer but Air Rifle Headquarters product.
https://canadianaircollector.ca/collect ... moly-paste

If you miss out on the above deal, you can get an ounce for $20 at CSS.
https://canadashootingsupply.ca/product ... aste-1-oz/

If you want a large supply check your local hardware stores, automotive stores, bearing shops and industrial supply stores for an 8oz container Loctite LB-8012. It should be about $45-$55Cdn.

Very worth it. There's a good lifetime supply there for sure. Now I need some guns to put it in

I use the moly that Jim Maccari sells. A little couple ounce container of it lasts a very long time.
Long enough I haven’t needed to go get a tube of the Honda CV joint moly. And I saw the ARH moly on Canadianaircollector so I picked up a couple of them. It’s also good stuff. Used it on a few guns already.
