 Post subject: New TV picture

Just bought a new 58" Samsung (replacing a 10 year old 47" Toshiba) and the picture looks great when there is not a lot of movement. However, I find when someone walks across the screen the movement looks "unnatural", hard to describe, maybe a frame rate issue. Seems worse on some TV shows than others (like when my wife was watching "The Rookie"). Maybe it's just too smooth?

Like it looks too natural as in it doesn't go blurry when stuff moves or the camera pans?

That is the look of a higher frame rate. It looks weird but you'll get used to it. Regular framerate TVs will look like low def junk to you pretty soon.

Yeah, could be the "problem" :-). Probably get used to it as you say.
