The Diana Airbug/PP800 PCP in .25 cal arrived from Airguns Archery Fun today. I'm quite impressed with it so far, looks very nice, grip feels good and the trigger is great. Needs a better magazine and single shot tray which Wes says will be coming. I haven't had a chance to shoot it much yet but it is the first airgun I've had that required hearing protection when shooting indoors. It made my ears ring when I first shot it without protection. Shot count is about 10, it drops from 200bar to 100bar with 10 shots but it only takes 35 pumps (once the pump is up to 100bar) to get back to 200bar. I took the option of having an Altaros regulator fitted by Wes which seems like it does a good job.

Thinking of fitting this into a CP2 stock and using it as a grouse gun. It has almost twice the muzzle energy of my 1322 and I don't think I've ever shot as many as 10 shots on grouse while hunting with a 1322 so it might be good for that.

That sounds like great performance and if as accurate as my 800 and 700, it will do well on grouse to about
25 yards.
I find the factory grip to be too large for my hand, and it is not a small hand by any means. Long fingers bigger
than many people's thumbs - ring size 13.
I found with the stock grips, the distance from the back of the grip to the trigger did not allow me to hold the
handgun with the centre of the grip[ running up the main bone in the arm, and allow me to proper work the trigger.
I had to hold it off-centre aligned to the thumb knuckle, just as the female Mounties have to hold their service S/A's.
I did get another set of grips for it from a close friend, that had finger grooves, that fits a bit better. Ahh- yeah, the Airbug grip.

I had an odd issue with the PP800 just now. I had taken it apart to put a barrel band on it, had degassed it to be safe and when I put it back together I tried to use an 80cuft SCUBA tank with 2000psi in it to precharge the gun prior to using the hand pump to get all the way up to 2900psi. However, the air didn't go into the reservoir on the gun it instead went inside of the gauge and the lens shot off with a loud pop, just missed my face (because I was looking at it, note to self not to look it strait on at it in future) bouncing off of the celling with some force to land in front of me. I was able to force the lens back into place then tried again and this time it worked properly with the reservoir charging up to 2000psi. What the heck did I do wrong?

I would very carefully remove the pressure from the gun and get a new gauge before filling it again

Tried the PP800 .25 today, charges and shoots no problems and a ten shot string Avg was 471.3fps which is 0.4fps off of yesterdays.
