More mods done to the Leshiy 2 . There was a post on another forum where it was asked if a 480cc FX bottle would fit and what would be needed to get it to work. I had an Evanix 480cc bottle here so I promptly went to work. Since I had already removed the existing lower tube on the gun to fit a 350cc I had the longer tube that just needed a bit of machining to match the rear block/butt stock. The lower tube is 1.25” longer that the upper tube that is used before the regulator and as luck would have it the 480cc is 1.25” longer than the 350cc I was using. I chuked the lower tube not my small lathe and matched the profile with oring groves to be installed into the butt stock. Got everything put back together than had to get my optic as far back as possible on the rifle for eye relief to be correct. Now it’s back together with an LOP just over 15” with the Ergo 0 grip , this still gives me plenty of room for my hand. I’m not sure how much onboard air I have now but I think it’s close to 650cc. Plenty of air for a good shooting session. And as you can see this didn’t add any length when folded for transport. ;)

You can fit a bigger bottle on these. I have the 350cc from Wes. It does cramp the pistol grip though. I also put a zero degree grip on it so my hand would fit better. There are quite a few parts available for them just need to do a little research. I got a used original smooth twist barrel and spun it up on the lathe to fit . With a barrel swap with no other changes went from 44 fpe to 61 fpe. These guns are absolute hammers but as you would imagine big power equals big air use.

You could put the bigger plenum, or the bigger air chamber (the part above your bottle). That would give you more of a gap for the grip. But would put more distance between your head and your scope.

Here is the part. The "tank butt extension" https://www.edgunleshiy.shop/collection ... -extension

The "long" version should do it, it's an extra 2cm.

I think the REPR plenum is longer than the stock Canadian plenum, as well.

Yes, there's 0.177, 0.20, 0.22, 0.25 and 0.30 barrels available. I have a 350mm .22, 350mm .30 and a 450mm .30 for my Leshiy. Barrels can be purchased at 250mm, 350mm, 450mm and 600mm, with models from Lothar Walther and Alfa Precision. I think the 250mm can't be installed on the guns in Canada, as it would make the rifle too short and a prohibited weapon. But the other barrels are legal. The 250mm barrel probably only makes sense in a country where you can put a moderator on it, anyways.

There's a good amount of modification kits available. https://www.edgunleshiy.shop/collection ... s-leshiy-2

I'm still in the process of tuning my Leshiy. Haven't had enough time to work on it. But starting next week, I should be able to have it dialed in for all three barrels.

I think the Leshiy is a fantastic design. The biggest flaw is the way it's adapted to the Canadian market. With such a short barrel and no moderator, it's **loud**. Kind of annoyingly loud. A more traditional long-barreled rifle, shooting the same pellets at the same velocity will be more quiet.

I've been tuning the rifle at .22 cal to find a reasonable power level that doesn't make my ears bleed -- lower regulator pressure, and bigger jetting. It's a big improvement. Still loud, but not painfully so. Haven't fully optimized it, yet.

I ordered two 500 mm barrels from Russia, one .22 and the second is a .25. I have probably couple weeks to figure a larger plenum...with a gauge.....or will that be my next winter project again ;)

Well, why the BMW M3 or M5 cost that much? AMG, Ferrari and so on....you can by a bicycle for $15K...a fishing boat for a $50K....these products not meant for a mass market but dedicated to a specific layer of customers.
I am not saying the Leshiy2 is an ultimate airgun, far from that, but ....it is a one of a kind.

I didn't know there were 500mm barrels available. Is there a Russian parts site? The only places I know to buy parts are the US site (Edgun west) and the Spanish site (edgunleshiy.shop).

I suppose it should be written CDN $3,500.00. Does that make it easier to understand?

French Canadians might write it as $3,500,00 since the period is reserved for grammar, not numbers, in French.

Interesting, they're selling .35 and .40 cal barrels. I guess they're expecting people to drill out smaller calibre magazines? Oh, whoops, those are for the Leshiy 1.

But they do have a 9mm barrel for the Leshiy 2. Hmm.

You would be surprised how many high-end airguns Russians have........look up the forums - if you can read, or find somebody to read it for you.
The demand for precision (long range) sniper rifles is impressive, and if you buy one (that is not a military supplier) you still need to go for a pickup.

Not certain what you're saying here. I can read Russian. Verbal conversation is pained, but reading is easy.
