Tried Tomahawk .177s for the first time....not grouping well at mid to high velocity. Discovered ONE reason anyway...Half the pellets in the tin had the points bent over from compression during transport..Oh well..Its looking like H&N and JSB round pellets are the only way to go...
Hard to get a good macro pic under the lighting I have here..but you get the idea... :D

I suspect your inaccuracy with those pellets is simply because your gun does not like them. Nose damage quite literally does not hurt the accuracy of most projectiles, especially
with such little damage as the picture shows. This has been tested extensively with high velocity rifle rounds and lower velocity rounds as well. The slower the bullet is traveling,
the less the deviation of the bullet with a deformed or damaged tip.
Now, if the cup part of that HP was pushed in to the centre to upset the balance from side to side, that would likely have some effect, but likely not closer than 12 yards, or so.
Glad the H&H's and JSB's shoot for you.

Gamo Tomahawks are probably the worst pellets I have ever used. They are very inconsistent and not uniformly shaped. Even the cheapo pellets from Grizzly (Princess Auto) are better.

Agreed...can't get these things to group past 10yards..for whatever the reason..luckily I only bought one tin so I'll shoot them off anyway...

Yeah I stock up on JSB and H&N' rounds...best accuracy so far...but I like to experiment with stuff I never tried...just in case... :D
