I am at L4G7X4, several gun clubs and ranges around me but I am maybe the only one shooting an airgun @100 here.
I may be wrong but look to me if I want to go competing some 50 meter and longer matches like 100 or 150 eventually, I shall look South of the border?
This feels the same as with archery. I was competing almost two decades FITA and Field in oldfart groups, for "bigger" matches a long multi days travel was involved, and no money on it in Canada. This why the bigger names in sport started competing South instead.

May have something to do with the US having more people in three or four cities than we have in our entire country. More opportunity for sure.

Someone has to start these things as well. There were maybe a dozen field target shooters, all in one club, in Canada when I started in 98. I proposed an association, created the guidelines and rules and have been promoting the sport ever since. It is starting to grow here in Ontario and Biagio has been promoting the sport in BC.

You going to get something going?

I live in a smaller city in close proximity to Toronto, lot of farmlands around me but all commercial setups and feeding a livestock. Leasing some land and "polluting" with lead is not on a table. I can go shooting only at powder burners clubs, anything else is out of my hands.

Do any of the clubs sponsor or have rim fire silhouette?
It's a BIG thing around here.
This is our RF silhouette range.

If you are talking about long range shooting, a powder burning club is where you want to be. Shoot your air guns and when folks ask questions, let them try it and promote your ideas. The appeal of high power without all the noise and smoke can draw interest. Never know until you try.

My club @ Sharon (SGC) have LR22 silhouettes, but my Leshiy2 in .22 doesn't have a juice to flip them. Waiting for a .25 barrel for it and I think that will do.
I am training with my .25 Impact at 100 M but the winter arrived way too quickly otherwise I would most likely already started with the 200 distance.
Oh well at least I got some time until spring to pile up the slugs for that range.
