I’m not going to bother. It’s not a clean enough break to mate up properly. Guess I’m ordering a new scope on payday. Maybe that’ll teach me to not get excited and jog through the bushes when a bird flushes up.

Never had a scope literally break in two pieces :?
- Might be worth contacting the manufacturer

It took a good knock and bent the tube. It didn’t break until I tried to straighten it back.

That'll do it. Only a new scope will save it. In bending it back, the tube was likely stretched as well, which would make the innards kittywonkus.

I don’t think the internals got jiggered. It didn’t bend far enough. I’m ordering the same scope payday. So now I have all spare parts haha

Because of the "possible" stretching of the tube, the length between the lenses, etc will or may be different
or misaligned, is what I was thinking of.

If I were to fix it you mean? I’m sure it would have some alignment issues. And also it broke on a spot that was already not strong. I bet if I glued it, it wouldn’t take much to break it again.

Never mind the gluing, aren't most scope nitrogen purged these days?
