Is that white grease (presumably lithium based) or mayonnaise?

Remove the sight glass and fill there.

Interesting. I put the oil in the way the video showed. Seems to be working properly, but it sure took a long time to get down
to the window.

But he doesn't say just HOW he determined that's where the oil goes....

I've filled 3 guns using it and it's still working. So far, so good.

exactly! the hole is there for a reason and the tool that comes with the compressor
and I've never seen someone fill through the sight glass, yes it can be done that way but makes no sense... :|
when you change the oil in your car you don't flip your car upside-down to fill the oil pan....

Same tool removes the sight glass.

I tried filling my new Xisico yesterday from the rear fill port, what a mess. It doesn't take oil from there at all. Took my 1/2 the bottle to realize that and by that point it was leaking out the front corners of the case.

So then I spent the best part of an hour tearing down the housing, cleaning up and reassembling. Then went to CT and got some synthetic Compressor Oil and filled threw the window level.
What a PITA.
I am no half wondering if this is a no oil version but they sent it with a bottle by mistake.

Perhaps when I filled through the back hole, I was more patient. No mess and it worked for me.

I don't think it's that. After I discovered oil wasn't going in I thought maybe it was air locked so stuck a screwdriver in to burst any bubbles but nada. After the 10min it took me cleaning up the table I looked again at the fill port and no oil had seeped in. It doesn't you can see far into the casting, as in not much open past where the fill plug would bottom out.
I assume they have made a running change but not updated paper work.

Still to me seems dumb to be filling through window. Maybe these units come in as greased/aircooled and guys in Texas clean out the grease and send them along as oiled units. And the Amazon ones straight from China don't get that treatment. Just a theory.
Either way I prefer mine oil lubed as I think it will be longer lasting.
