There you have it. Countless hours of figuring and unfiguring things. It's not very elegant, but it works quite well.
I fill it to 2400 psi and get 5 usable hail Mary shots out of it.
Now that it has a stock, I can actually shoot it at something
I finished it with 2 coats of tung oil. Still needs another screw in the tang... It's not super rigid as is with one bolt up thru the wrist.
Needs epoxy bedding...

All the build details are here if you're interested:

Thanks, yeah I got nobody else to share these with.
All my real life friends think I'm nuts

This one is mostly finished. I really would like to make my own breech for it. Maybe a twist/pull knob style. Lose the QB breech.
I'll eventually make a fore stock too. Nothing too fancy.

It shoots pretty decent actually. At the moment I'm using a brass slotted screw for a front sight post. It works. Shot a 4" group at 75 yards...
Also have been playing with the hammer stroke length to get a shot string as follows:
1-err (going to guess 850ish)
2-898
3-907
4-884
5-831
From 2400 to roughly 1200 after 5 shots. I do know if I shoot it under 1000psi the hammer will punch the valve stem into the valve and split the snap ring in 2. so 5 shots is good.
About 90 pumps to fill it back up again.
I'm waiting on a longer air tube at the moment. Will be adding roughly 50% more volume, so maybe good for 2 more shots?

Interesting gun, indeed. Your laminated stock shows a good imagination(as-does this project). Well done.

Fantastic work. Innovation and implementation at it's finest - your real live friends just don't understand the inquiring mind. I believe I have such an inquiring mind, but not as much talent as you so my projects tend to be less innovative. That Red Ryder of yours sure is a doozie!

Thanks guys,
I don't believe I have any more or less talent than anyone else. I just have the gift of a lot of spare time

The stock was a necessity thing. I thought of cutting up a rem700 or an abolt stock but I just couldn't do it...
But recently I lucked out and have a solid plank of maple I can carve many a stock from.

The next project is in the works

Hadn't thought of those stock options. I have an old Mauser Stock with wrecked forend. Pretty sure the butt stock would have worked
with some bedding and it's California Claro Walnut. I'll keep it in case something like this comes along.

Oh yeah, I don't throw much of anything away. Nice piece of walnut is worth its weight in silver these days. I'd be afraid to see what a new blank is worth.

Daryl, you know your stuff.
Can you recommend a tang/ladder sight that might be easy enough to re-create or copy?
