At last, here are the results of my 2289 "look-alike" pumper build. I call it version 1, because the next step is to make wood furniture for it.

It began as bits and pieces:
1. 1377 from PA,
2. 14.6" .22 barrel from a Forum member,
3. .22 steel breach, 760 barrel band, and 1399 stock from CSS
4. Custom (by me) brass bolt handle
5. Hatsan air stripper (another Forum member some time ago)
6. Simons 3-9x40 hunting scope (ditto)

Mods needed: Pivot pin replaced with 3/16 hardened steel dowel, TP deburred and polished, valve cleaned and bleed hole plugged with 4-40 setscrew. It is putting out Crosman 14.3 gr CPHP at 470 fps, and JSB Exact RS 13.4 gr max 886 fps (max) - they were the hottest pellets I tested. Total time for the build less than 8 hrs. Cost of "new" parts... don't even ask... OK, ballpark around $300. Here it is:

Looks good. Did you have to remove any material from the pump arm pivot hole to fit the oring?

Yes, of course. Now where is that Edit button...hmmm. Nope. And no material was removed for the pivot pin. Nice snug fit.
Here is plan 1 for wood furniture., using some repurposed (free) Honduran mahogany.

That should be a nice dark wood. You're planning to fill the hollow in the stock?
What do you plan to use to inlet the pump arm? Router?

Yes, I'm following this video for the pump arm - and V2 will have the plastic stock hole filled with the wood.

Anyone have a video link for making a wood stock for these?

Very nice work. Are you sure you don't want a pistol scope?

Maybe I do? I've ordered a 3-9x32 AO Bugbuster scope for it. The Simons doesn't focus to 10 yards so it won't be useful to me.

Great idea! Compact scope should be just perfect for it.

Quick update on furniture making: The pump handle is 50% done and looking good, IMO.
I made a poor man's scroll saw out of my jigsaw to cut the profile. The poor mans scroll saw worked out well.

The trigger guard cutout I did with a hole saw in the drill press. Apart from some wood burning, the hole saw worked great. Sanding will removed the burned bits.
Still to do: locate and drill for the attachment screws, taper the sides, route the edges, sand, and finish.

Did a bit more fitting and adjusting today, it's almost ready for final sanding and finishing. It's turning out nice like I had hoped. the pump handle feels really comfy in my palm and the grip is good with the tapered sides. I ordered a Tourbon butt pad, that will increase the LOP a bit.

I think it will look great if the wood is black stained then oil rubbed.
