I am shooting 1377 and got 135-137 from 200. Very low results and I am very frustrated. My both Izh46 and MP46M are sent to another city about 2000 miles away for technical service. So I am still practicing stock 1377. Good news - I probably have near perfect trigger pull and signs allignment now as I am getting stable +170/200 in "supported rest" with the same stock 1377...

Tried my Izh46 today after technical service. Got only 140/200. Yes, it is stable poor results even I am working regularly on improving my skills. Don't know what can I do...

I wouldn't over analyse it. Just keep practicing and enjoy the sessions. Good things will happen over time with consistient practice.

I do a lot of strength training for my support muscles. One day I emphasize shoulders arms, back and chest muscles. A rest day with just cardio. Other workout is for legs hips and torso. Another rest day with cardio. So a four day cycle. My stability has remained fairly consistent for about 20+ years now as shown by my scores in field target matches. My kneeling and standing lanes have actually improved. At only 72, I figure I still have some good shooting years in me.

Thanks a lot for your kind words. Just done classical ISSF exercise 40 shots with 307/400 standing one hand. Old Izh46. Not too bad for me.

Thanks for sharing your training ideas with me. Actually in my 71 I am in very good shape and can hold 10 lb weight pistol. Just shot 40 and got 307/400. Pretty low result , but can keep me in circle "five")) I mean there were some shots in 5 and 6 , but most in 7 and 8.
I think I can't expect good results in classical shooting air-pistol. Actually I am doing not too bad when shooting "supported rest" according ISSF rules. Guys over 60 (probably over 55) compete regularly in Europe. 30 shots programme. But you must shoot at least 273/300 to be in the middle of the list )) Surely a challenge for me. But keep in mind these old german guys are not beginners. They are shooting clubs members and shoot all their lives long. They own Styers and Walthers. Very serious company ))
