Post subject: Active coils for non-RPAL .177 HW45

Hi and good day all!

Just wondering if someone here knows the number of active coils for their sub-500fps .177 HW45? Just got a .20 cal (D&L doesn't have any .177s anymore) but I want to lower the power for less recoil. To avoid a loopy trajectory, got to move to lighter .177 cal pellets. It's my understanding that in Canada, only the .177 version is detuned to shoot sub-500fps. A direct swap of the barrel would produce an RPAL rated pistol. Not good!!! So, have to cut some coils. Anybody here by any chance knows how many active coils a sub5 HW45 mainspring has? I can cut a coil at a time and reassemble but... the HW45 isn't exactly the easiest airgun to put back together. So was hoping to be in the ballpark (around high 3's low 4's foot pounds energy-wise) at first reassembly.
