I suggested the HW30 as an easy loading, accurate rifle that's 1/2 the price of an HW97.
I only own the 2 springers, the 97's. Both are the high power models and both shoot VERY
accurately. The thumbhole .177 makes 1/10"(.100"), 5 shot groups and smaller, from a rest at 20yards.
The .22 isn't quite as accurate but has no trouble making 1/2" groups at the same range.
Groups are measured from outside to outside and subtracting the diameter hole, the pellets make in
THAT target paper, not the pellet size. The hole made is usually smaller than pellet size, usually
around .165" to .170" for a .177" pellet.

Dang that HW97 is accurate! No wonder it's so popular for FT competition. I've been staring at a blue/grey laminated HW97K in .177 cal. It's mesmerizing.

X2 I wound really like to have the blue stock, one of the best for FT.

Hello,

I'm looking at a new Weihrauch rifle under 500fps.
Not interested in PCP.
They rangels from the 30 to 97 models in.
D&L has a bunch of new stock but not much of a detailed discription on the different models.
Other than price what's the difference between the 30 series up to the 97 series?
I would prefer. 22

Thank you.

This is really making me want to buy an HW97 TH in .177 for FT!

I have an HW30 in .177 with the Rowan set - back trigger. It's definitely not a match rifle, but still a very fun little air rifle with great craftsmanship.

The blue stock in thumb hole would be amazing!

You can also get the hw110 in .495 if your looking for a pcp style airgun. I love mine upgraded it to full FAC and also got a longer barrel for it and put a bi pod. Super accurate rifle.

Checked D&L today, and see they wood out the 177 HW77 laminated but still have 22cal... That's the best looking HW springer in my mind... I almost forgot it....

Really like the look of the HW 77 but the don't have one available in non pal .22.
And someone already scooped up the 495fps in .177.

The HW 77 would probably be the one I would choose if available in what I need.

On that note the HW95 is what I'm leaning toward.

If it’s the 77 you want wait till it’s in stock, I had one for over 30odd years and it’s worth the wait.

I had aHW98 in .22 cal. That is the HW95, with a sleeve over the barrel to increase the weight as well as some cosmetic changes.
Mine REALLY shoots well with the Hades pellets. I sold it to a friend, and he's still my friend - maybe even better friend now after
the sale. What I am saying, is they are very good guns.
As with any springer you have to try different pellets and even experiment with how the gun is held. All of my HW's have shown not
to prefer the "artillery hold". Mid forend on the bag, or end of the forend. Here's just one target shot with it, at 20yards, before I
discovered it's propensity to Hades pellets. These are marked for group size.

This HW98 in .22 cal. was the 15fpe model.
1st bunch of pellets shot with this rifle - at 25 yards.
This was the 1st day at the range, for this rifle.
The bottom right target is artillery hold. These rifles, HW,
seem to prefer being held more like normal rifles.

I have a beauty 35e, 95, both are pal and a hw30 stainless and black ,also a pal ,@ 630 fps. The one I go to 90% of the time is the hw30! Reason because the others are as heavy as center fire rifles. Im 6 feet tall and the 30 fits me perfectly. Its not a kid sized airgun!

Here is a nice one. I bought a HW80 from this seller and it was a good transaction. I can say he was good to deal with. Problem would be this is PAL rated.
