Hi guys ! I just received my brand new Beeman QB78 from AirgunSource.com.
Very nice rifle ! But... 2 questions:
How to make the stock shine ? It's got a strange "film" on it... And what is the supplied Allen key for ?

WD40 takes the film off. Not sure what the allen key would be for...mightn't there be a clue in the manual?? (Oh noooos...RTFM lol)

The only allen head screw I can think of on a 78 is the small set screw that holds the barrel in the breach, as shown below. All others are slot or Phillips. Anyhow, none of mine ever came with an allen key so it may have been put there by AGS after a checkup.

Maybe a degassing key? Some of these guns had some sort of degassing port...

The degassing key looks more like a chuck key, but is only included on the 2078, looks like so:

Thank you guys ! I will carefully try to wipe the film off with WD40 !
And your answers for the allen key make sense but i'll play it
safe and leave it in my "accessory drawer" !

and the owner manual doesn't say nothing about it.
And that being said, i find the manual very uncomplete...
